Many dog owners are unaware that their dog may be suffering from isolation. Dogs are extremely social creatures and they crave social interaction with people and other dogs. This interaction is needed for a well balanced dog. A bored dog often displays destructive behavior like licking, digging, barking, and biting. Playing helps keep a dogs body and mind active and exercised, which in turn leads to a happier healthier and better behaved dog. A day at Rover's Return will help burn off your dogs built up energy in a supervised play environment where they learn new things and play almost all day long until the time comes to go home. Assessment: All dogs will go through an assessment prior to joining the day care group. During the assessment we will ask you the history on your dog(s) including previous owners, known issues, previous socialization and interactions with other dogs. We will then become acquainted with your dog(s) in a controlled and friendly environment and will monitor your dog’s body language, posture and reactions during different interactions. Evaluation: Once your dog has successfully completed the assessment process, we will store photos of you, your dog and up to 3 people who you authorize to collect your dog. You may then book your dog in for day care on the available dates. Guidelines: All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations including kennel cough(proof required) All dogs must be free of parasites (fleas, tics, worms and lice) All Dogs are inspected upon entry. Dogs must be in good condition(no coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, 48 hours prior to arrival at the facility) All dogs must be brought in and out of the facility on a collar and lead. Prior to joining the Day Care your dog(s) MUST complete the assessment. We are insured and registered with Eden District Council. I have been breeding dogs for many years now and am an Assured Breeder with the Kennel Club. I am registered at Coomara Veterinary Practice at Carleton Carlisle CA4 0BU.
