The RSL Art Union (www.rslartunion.com.au) helps to support Australia’s Veteran Community including ex-service men and women and their families. The Returned & Services League (RSL) was founded in 1916 and is a totally independent, apolitical organisation run by its members, for its members. These members include the ex-service community and current serving personnel of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
Since its foundation in 1916, the Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL) has worked tirelessly to help build a better Australia. It is known for its active role in community affairs and determination to preserve our way of life. A major activity of the RSL is the provision of welfare services to ex-service men and women, their dependants and to other members of the Community. Welfare includes pension and advocacy services, retirement and care facilities, home care and financial assistance to ex-servicemen and women including their dependants. In 1956 the RSL Art Union, which is a Queensland based lottery, was established to raise funds to provide these essential services.

Positively Connecting Communities with genuine conversation and mobile laundry and shower services. We are Australia’s first mobile laundry service providing homeless people with access to free washing/drying facilities. We are a new not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers. We want to harness the energy of the community who want to help people in need. Portable washing facilities, specialised hygiene packs and an alliance with other local organisations will work to achieve these goals.
LifeFlight is a not-for-profit aeromedical charity that relies on the support of community to keep flying. Donations gratefully accepted. Every year the iconic blue and yellow choppers RACQ LifeFlight Rescue help hundreds of sick or injured patients. LifeFlight is regularly sent to serious accidents, where early medical intervention can often be the difference between life and death. Crews are made up of a Pilot, Critical Care Doctor, Aircrewman and Intensive Care Paramedic or Nurse. On standby 24/7, helicopters can be in the air within minutes of being tasked. After 35 years of service, LifeFlight’s biggest supporters are still the communities in which we operate.
