Rumi Khan, MD, joined Orlando Health in 2010. Board certified in Internal medicine, Critical care medicine, Neurocritical Care, Pulmonary diseases and Hospice/palliative Care Medicine, Dr. Khan rounds in the academic tertiary critical care units at Orlando Regional Medical Center as an intensivist and also is a practicing partner of Orlando Health Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Specialists. Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh in 1993. He completed his residency in internal medicine through Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Queens Hospital Center in New York. Following his residency, Dr. Khan completed fellowship through the Wayne State University School of Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center, where he served as chief fellow. In addition to publishing numerous articles in peer reviewed journals, he won several nationally acclaimed research awards during his fellowship. Dr. Khan is a great medical educator and carries special interest in Fellowship and Residency training programs at ORMC. He currently is the Critical Care clerkship for UCF College of Medicine at ORMC and an Associate Professor. Before joining Orlando Health, Dr. Khan worked as an Assistant Professor at medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Khan’s sees general Pulmonary specialty patients and his academic clinical interests include pulmonary subspecialties of Interstitial Lung Disease, Asthma, COPD, Pulmonary infections, Lung Cancer Screening and critical care subspecialty of hemodynamics. Dr. Khan is a Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians and member of American Thoracic Society as well as European respiratory Society. Dr. Khan is fluent in Bengali, Urdu and Hindi.
