Salford Globe Cafe is a homely place where international students can relax, make friends, play games and practice English with native speakers.

Description

Salford Globe Cafe is run by local Christians and organised by a Christian charity called Friends International which is committed to welcoming and befriending all international students throughout the UK. In Salford Globe Cafe we play table games, table tennis, have quizzes, short presentations on interesting topics. Cakes and snacks are free - drinks are available at low prices. After 3 years running a cafe on the University of Salford campus, where students were welcomed by the dedicated team of volunteers and made to feel at home, the University decided to run events themselves. In order to continue meeting with our university friends we were able to re-open the cafe at Creation Cafe on Friday 24th January 2014. Come and try us out - only 10 minutes walk down The Crescent from the university.
