We are a church of Christ in the most Biblical way possible. Being Christians individually, together we are a church. We are baptized believers, raised to walk in “newness of life” (Romans 6:3-4) through faith in the God’s work of salvation in Christ (Colossians 2:12). We are not perfect, but rather, forgiven. We are a diverse group of Christians, from many ages and different backgrounds, including several ethnicities and levels of education. We are not ashamed to wear the name of our Lord and that is why the Bible identifies people like us as “the church” or a church of Christ. You may hear us refer to one another as brother or sister. What you will not hear is men being glorified for their power, position or fame. We don’t exalt their money, nor do we call them “Father,” as though they have power over us (Matthew 23:9). We are not affiliated with any denominations, including those that have “Church of Christ” in their names. Rather, we belong to Him Who called us by His own glory and power. After all, it is all about Him, isn’t it?

Hope you all are having a blessed Lords Day
Happy Saturday everyone. I hope you all have a bless day.
Recently there has been much controversy in regards to yoga pants. I have a good discussion with a friend to this regard. I am reminded of 1corinthians 8:1-13 specially vs 13. Let's remember that as Christians we are not to be a stumbling block. We are to ensure that our actions as Christians are holy and righteous. But don't forget the responsibility lies not solely on others but on each individual person. 1 john 2:15-17. Those who love the world do not have the father in them. For the love of the world is, the list of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life. John 6:38. Christ did not come to the world to fulfill his own desires but to do the will of the father. And as Christians we are to be Christ like. Also to not live a life that fulfills our own desires but to do the will of God. We may not always understand gods commandments but in faith we are to follow them. It is important to remember to not get caught up in the ways of the world but to remain on the straight and narrow. That in all we do must bring glory to God. To fulfill the great commission of going into the world to teach the gospel to everyone. To be a great christian and example that through our example we may bring someone to Christ.

Received word early this morning. Dirk Driskill, an elder of the church in San Bernardino, fell on Tuesday and had possibly suffered a stroke. He was placed on life support and the decision today was made to remove him from that. Dirk has passed from this life and moved to the next. He was a man of God, an example, a leader. He has fought the good fight and he has run the race. I believe with all my heart that he has accomplished his goal of this life and is awaiting to hear "enter in good and faithful servant." Please pray for the Driskill and Cook family as they mourn the loss of their loved one and pray for the church in San Bernardino as we have lost a leader a friend a brother in Christ.
