San Diego Student Recovery: Students sharing the power of the recovery movement

Description

Here at San Diego Student Recovery, we provide off-campus housing and outpatient treatment for college students in the San Diego area who are experiencing adversity related to alcohol and drug use, eating disorders, gambling, depression, anxiety, or any other psychological illnesses. We are here to help college students reach their highest potential academically, professionally, and personally by giving them the opportunity to live in a supportive environment amongst their peers and professionally treating the underlying causes of their addictive behavior and psychological illnesses. It is crucial for young men and women to choose a safe place to transition back into everyday life while on the road to recovery, and SDSR is here to give college students the proper care that they need. Members of our community can learn how to nourish and strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits in recovery, and our program guides college students in the right direction towards success in each and every aspect of their lives. At SDSR, we know that the college experience can be a period of stress for young men and women. Stress can directly lead to substance abuse and other psychological disorders, and we are here to help college students manage their issues in order to grow into much more than they ever imagined to be possible. By providing outpatient treatment and housing free of drugs, alcohol, and other temptations that can negatively impact the success of college students, it is our goal to give members of our community their greatest opportunities to succeed in recovery and in every aspect of their lives. We are here to help any current undergraduate or graduate college student who is seeking to live in a supportive community that fosters accountability, structure, and most importantly, having fun in recovery! Face it, nobody would stay sober for long unless they are having fun. However, aspect of one’s life must be in balance, and at SDSR we help you achieve a balance of academic work, learning life skills, holistic health, physical and emotional well-being, recovery and service work, recreational activities, and having fun.
