San Francisco Wine School exposes students to relevant credential programs and important topics critical to the success of today’s wine professionals and enriching for enthusiasts. Our ability to provide clarification and guidance to professionals seeking employment and careers in the wine industry sets us apart and provides our students with personal and customized learning paths. We offer weekly evening, multi-day intensive and online program formats aimed at providing convenience, flexibility, and accessibility for those interested in furthering the knowledge of wine.

How To Get to San Francisco Wine School

Our new 4,000 facility is currently under construction at 415 Grand Avenue in South San Francisco. Unless otherwise stated, courses are currently held at Embassy Suites, in South San Francisco's Oyster Point until completion in fall of 2015. 5 min walk from Caltrain. The San Francisco Wine School was launched in 2011 by Master Sommelier, David Glancy. David is one of twelve people in the world to hold both a Master Sommelier diploma and a Certified Wine Educator credential. His team of industry leading instructors provides world-class wine education and professional development for successful careers in the wine industry. By bringing all relevant wine credential programs under one roof, students may pursue numerous career path opportunities including hospitality, retail, distribution, journalism, marketing/PR, consulting, education and more. San Francisco Wine School programs are designed for credential exam preparation, however many enthusiasts outside of the wine industry attend to deepen their wine knowledge and appreciation. Our current offerings include: Somm Essentials, Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), French Wine Scholar (FWS), Italian Wine Professional (IWP) and California Wine Appellation Specialist® (CWAS), Advance Tasting, Advanced Service, and WSET Levels 1-3 by Grape Experience. Classes are offered at our gorgeous new 4,000 sq foot wine education center and in our virtual online classroom. Custom courses and private events are available at our location or yours on any beverage or service topic.
