Hello (waves) thank you for popping by... My names Sarah I am a textile artist, I live with my gorgeous family. I love to create fabulous pictures out of fabric and paint, I must admit to you I do have a rather large button collection/obsession too. I work from my gorgeous studio formerly known as our garage, it is my little piece of heaven and I can get lost in a creative land for hours and hours. I create bespoke art for you to treasure, and I like to think of them not only as art but as heirlooms too. I love adding pieces of your old clothing or fabrics or buttons that have special memories to your commission piece, thus making them unique and a one of a kind. I love to invoke the feel good factor. I can only imagine how wonderful it is to be given a one of a kind personal piece, not something that can be purchased on the high street, I feel honoured to be able to provide this service for you. I create each and every piece with oodles of love and ask many questions as I strive for perfection. My journey began when I made my first piece as wedding present for my sister and her husband to be. It was of the church they were married in, I used our late grandmother’s table cloth as the background- Cath kidston gorgeous floral fabric for the church. Freehand machine embroidery to create the trees which were exactly the same as the photo I took inspiration from, did I say earlier that I strive for perfection. The cotton I used to draw/outline the church and windows and write the details of their wedding day (name, date, church) was in their bridesmaid’s colour of teal, the front door of the church was made with a little bit of our late mother’s favourite pajama bottoms. My sister loved all the added bits of personal detail. I then designed a range for the birth of new babies, such a lovely time for any new parents.
