I am having such bad luck with sewing machines lately... Have had issues with two over lockers and two sewing machines. I am beginning to think that it must be my sewing style!! 😢

Posted in Photo Journal | Tagged Australia , Kata Tjuta , road trip , Travel , Uluru | While I was visiting my sister Liz in Gunbalanya I got to meet the loveable Marla and Sandy, her next door neighbours’ dogs who she was dog sitting over the long weekend.
I tried to get a couple of photos of each of them before I left and while Sandy (the girl dog) sat perfectly while I took some pics, Marla (the boy dog) kept running around and I only managed to take photos of him when he was photo bombing Sandy!
In the end I did get one good one of him in a stationary position before he dashed off to investigate something that caught his eye.
Posted in Photo Journal | Tagged Arnhem Land , dogs , Gunbalanya | I took advantage of the Easter long weekend to schedule a visit out to my sister Liz who lives in Gunbalanya in West Arnhem Land.
The roads were still closed due to the last storms of the wet season so I had to fly in which is a great way to view the stunning wetlands and escarpment in the area.
Unfortunately I was on the eastern side of the plane on the way over so the rising sun meant that I didn’t get many good photos but on the way back (despite the plane door on my side not being closed properly-eeek!)
I had a better vantage point.
It really is a beautiful part of the country and the wet season is the perfect time to see it in all its glory.

It was our last morning in Adelaide and we only had an hour or so of spare time before we had to leave for the airport so it was a very rushed visit.
I particularly liked the black and white tapirs and the chameleons and there were some rather cute primates there as well.
The panda was also rather special though he was asleep up the back of his enclosure so we didn’t really get a very good look at him.
