OVERVIEW SAPA offers upcoming and current Aboriginal professionals a supportive community and platform, providing access to the skills, networks and opportunities to continually develop as dynamic leaders. SAPA serves Aboriginal professionals through professional skill building, network development and the recognition of excellence. BACKGROUND SAPA was first launched in Saskatoon in 2013 with the goal of building a foundation and supportive community for Aboriginal professionals working across the city. Funded as a strategic initiative under the Saskatoon Urban Aboriginal Strategy (SUAS), two networking events were successfully planned in the 2013-2014. Then in partnership with the Inter-provincial Association on Native Employment (IANE), a third networking event was planned in 2014-15. Going forward, SAPA plans to connect, learn and prosper as a community with the ultimate goal of expanding Aboriginal leadership within the Saskatoon region. Email us anytime! The Saskatoon Aboriginal Professional Association (SAPA) is a unique non-profit organization that is dedicated to building a network, the capacity, and advancing First Nations, Metis and Inuit (Aboriginal) professionals into leadership roles in the Saskatoon area in the private, public, governmental and educational sectors.
