We are a non profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re homing dogs across Saskatchewan. Every dog deserves a happy tail!

Description

Saskatoon Dog Rescue has been rescuing animals since August of 2012. Many of our rescues come in as strays from poor living conditions or over-flowing shelters. We take the time to assess each animal both mentally and physically before putting them up for adoption. Once the animal has been assessed, we place them into a foster home that is the best fit for him/her. Without our foster parents, we wouldn't be able to rescue as many animals as we do. We are extremely grateful for all the hard work and dedication our fosters provide for our rescue! We work closely with other rescue organizations, as well as communities where there is limited to no resources for animals. We believe that every animal has the right home awaiting them, and that it is our responsibility to ensure they find that home!

ADOPTION PROCESS & FEES: If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out an application on our website (www.saskatoondogrescue.com). We encourage potential adopters to research breed(s) prior to looking for a dog to ensure that you can supply the dog with it's physical/mental requirements. After submitting an application, our adoptions coordinator will contact you and schedule a meet and greet. The next step is a home visit to ensure that you can supply a suitable living situation for the dog. Fees are as follows: ADULT ADOPTION FEE (six months and older): $275.00 This includes the cost of spay/neuter, vaccinations and micro chip. PUPPY ADOPTION FEE (six months or younger): $275.00 + $125.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit. This will include appropriate vaccinations dependant on the age of the dog, and micro chip. You are responsible for the cost of the spay/neuter and will not be refunded your deposit until proof is shown to a Saskatoon Dog Rescue representative that the dog has been spayed/neutered by six months of age. Please keep in mind that our costs usually exceed the adoption fee(s). We do not supply leashes, collars, kennels, dishes, bedding, food, etc. as these are used towards future rescues. Please consider the costs of these supplies prior to applying for a dog.
