What special needs do you have? Which fees are sensible? Which are not? ISSO will be meeting with Atlanta area bankers over winter break and advocating for SCAD Atlanta international students. This is your chance for input!
Attention all students: there have been recent reports of fraud where someone claiming to be a representative of the IRS is calling students and saying that they owe back taxes. THIS IS A FRAUD. The IRS will NEVER contact you by phone - all official correspondence comes by mail. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, hang up immediately, record their number and call the police. NEVER send money or share your checking account information to an unsolicited stranger who contacts you by phone, regardless of how official or aggressive they seem. Call ISSO for advisory opinions whenever in doubt.
#SCADISSO is in the U.K all this week and next, visiting high schools and promoting SCAD and international student life. If you have any friends or contacts in the U.K. - send along ISSO Coordinator's Peter May's email address and tell them to contact him to arrange a visit! (email@example.com)
