St. Louis's oldest brewpub. Great food. Great beer. Great times.
The Schlafly Tap Room first opened its doors in 1991 and holds the distinction of being the first new brewpub to open in Missouri since Prohibition. Housed in a beautifully restored wood and brick building on the National Historic Register, The Schlafly Tap Room enjoys a reputation as a casual, earthy place to drink, dine, listen to great live music, or host a special event. Schlafly Beer is proud to be St.Louis' largest locally owned independent brewery. Each year, we brew about fifty unique styles of fresh beer, roughly half of which we bottle and half of which are exclusively available on draft at our two brewery-restaurants. We have a unique beer style for every beer lover. Visit our website for the latest information about events and live music, our beer, tours, and more.
St.Louis Metrolink light rail is about an 8 minute walk from the Union Station stop.

Fronted by veteran St. Louis singer-songwriter Corey Saathoff (Jerkwater Junction, Brain Regiment) NICK DITMEIER & THE SAWDUSTERS is headed by a singer-songwriter from southern Indiana. Nick fronted the alt-country band Slithering Beast for five years. In early 2013, he branched out and started performing under his own name and established a new band. His first release was an EP called “Extra Better.” It garnered local and regional attention and radio play, while earning him a nomination for “Songwriter of the Year” at the inaugural Louisville Music Awards. Relentless performances ensued, while writing a new record. The new album, “Light of Day” is was released in late April of 2014, as his tour schedule expanded and more attention was given to the project. CREE RIDER FAMILY BAND is an alt-country band that leans heavily on americana, honky tonk and rock n’ roll roots music. Three incredible soloists grace our stage on Friday: SYNA SO PRO triggers effects that allow her to build a set through the use of riffs, melodies, and beats created on the spot...interspersed with pre-recorded monologues which she responds to as the night progresses. JON VALLEY is a pianist/singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist who is back on the scene. ZAGK GIBBONS stalks from instrument to instrument, blending sounds into circular loops and ultimately tops the affair with classy, in-the-pocket drumming. Pop contemporaries might be content to hit play on a MacBook or flick open a backtrack via iPod, but Gibbons builds his sound like Lego blocks -- firm and colorful...he'll be debuting a new project called "DATA GHOST". Experimental trance/electro
THE MUSIC returns on Thursday. Free show starts at 9 pm with: BEAR CUB are a duo, a big guitar, some pedals, three amps, and some drums playing stuff you think you can dance to... BLACK FOR A SECOND won the award for BEST PUNK BAND. They did. Singer/guitarist Joey Jordan's soulful grit — spiked with humor and despair — pours through his searing vocal delivery, leaving any semblance of pretentiousness behind. Tim Pinkerton's propulsive, precise-as-hell drumming steers you through post-hardcore and punchy punk intersections. And the noodling bass dances around a nervy duo of crunchy Les Pauls. Black for a Second offers a blend of rootsy punk rock that can only be found in the Midwest. We had a cancellation, so this one will be over by 11 pm

Kisser Cassette Release Friday, August 15 w/ Ahleuchatistas, Corrigan Brothers @ Schlafly Tap Room 9:15 p.m. | free By Joseph Hess "Spastic and heavy, Kisser approaches psychedelia with punk fervor. The trio creates a head space while taking on progressions of early kraut rock. The drums feel airy while feeding room to brainy bass riffs. The guitar reeks with noise, drawing from organic sounds to paint on schizophrenic songs. Kisser keeps a psych-rock core with deep hooks and spaced breaks. Vocals are subtle while disparate, lending a helping hand to Kisser's heady but approachable sound. Kisser's initial EP Black and Red features cuts that drone with a musical mantra and break with frantic melodies."
