Operating in the Phoenix area for over 44 years, Schmitt Jewelers was founded in 1970 by Larry and Marie Schmitt when they opened a store at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road. Brothers Tom and Tim Schmitt, their wives Erin and Ginnie, and now the third generation of Schmitt’s carry on the family tradition. In 2003, Schmitt Jewelers moved from its original location to a new facility at 7th Street and Glendale Avenue. With its spacious showroom and state-of-the-art workshop, Schmitt Jewelers is an industry leader in the technology it uses to design and craft incredible custom pieces. The jewelry cases at Schmitt Jewelers are filled with Schmitt’s own creations as well as top designer lines, offering everything from brilliant diamond jewelry to chic fashion pieces that make striking visual statements. Currently serving second and third generations of customers, the Schmitt’s understand that their business is based on both professional and personal relationships, and they treat their customers in the fair and friendly manner for which the family is known. Tom and Tim credit much of the business’ success on the early decisions made by their parents, namely in running the store honestly and always putting their customers’ needs first. They also credit the store’s longevity on two important factors; the Schmitt name is on the door, telling customers that the family takes pride in and backs their product; and a Schmitt family member is almost always on premises.
