School Friendzy is a collaborative learning platform designed to allow K-12 students help each other do and understand their school work. It also prepares underserved and ELL students to take formative assessment tests. School Friendzy integrates Project Based Learning and allows teachers to assign problems to be done in the classroom or at home, individually, or in groups. Students solve problems on our platform and are able to get instant feedback if they get a problem right or wrong. If they get it wrong, they can see how other classmates solved the problem correctly. They can also connect remotely with other classmates to collaborate on solving problems together. Not only this, but they can also connect with anonymous tutors, which are honor students from the same or nearby high school or colleges who have agreed to tutor students in exchange for service hours. And we manage the entire service hour program for the school. Many of you referred this service as Uber for tutors. In the classroom, teachers can assign problems and watch students solve these problems in real time. Teachers can observe how many students are getting each problem right or wrong. This makes it easy for teachers to grasp what their students are not understanding. For example, if 60% of students got problem # 3 wrong, their teacher can see what mistakes they are making and can stop the class and reteach the concept. Teachers can project the students’ work on their Promethean screen so they can share with the class how they solved a specific problem School Friendzy offers several features to help underserved students and English Language Learners. For example, the program translates questions into 80 different languages, shows images or definitions of words, and even allows students to listen to questions out loud. School Friendzy is fully bilingual and works with any school subject, on smart phones, tablets or computers.
