General Info

SCHOOL OF ROCK is the original performance based interactive music school. We proceed from the belief that the best way to learn anything is by doing it. And we feel this is particularly true about music. From the moment a student joins one of our schools, they are PLAYING music, loud, on professional equipment with other musicians. Before they know it, our students are on stage playing rock shows; REAL rock shows at REAL venues in front of REAL rock audiences, complete with lights, stagecraft and (when appropriate) smoke machines. Our goal at the School of Rock is two fold: First, to help our students realize their amazing potential as artists and second, to put them on stage in front of as many people as possible. We have established a competitive, yet thoroughly supportive environment, where our students are challenged at every turn. Shows are picked for their educational merit and content (for example: Queen teaches harmony, Punk develops performance and stage presence and Zappa offers a crash course in musicianship). Thus, if they fail, they fail aiming at the best. And when they succeed, which is more often than not, they have accomplished something extraordinary. We have learned a long time ago that if you do not tell kids what they cannot do, they will know no limitations on what they can achieve. Our school offers: *weekly individual lessons on guitar, bass, vocals,drums and keyboards taught by professional musicians *3-hour weekly rehearsals *general use of rehearsal rooms and gear *classes and seminars by guest musicians "Saving Rock & Roll One Kid At A Time!"
