I recommend you start out with the wonderful book called "Curly Girl" by Lorraine Massey- as this is THE handbook for celebrating Curly Hair. Next, on my website www.scottmusgravehair.com read my blog called 'MagiCurl'. It takes what you learned in Curly Girl and extends it for learning more about your curls with methods and techniques that I use for your salon visit. Deva and Jessicurl products are used and recommended. I teach you one of these product lines as a complete system. Over time and with experience you can learn to Fusion Blend these to create unique Options and Possibilities for YOUR unique hair and curl pattern. I teach you my MagiCurl Application Process (The MAP) that will give you even product application and the best curl formations with little to no frizz. My Curl Cut is called Cubist Curl Cutting and is tailored to your wave/curl pattern that has evolved over the years to give you a design with your curls that lasts longer than a traditional cut. Most of my clients go 4-7 months on one cut. So, along with the products that get rid of the frizz and my custom Curl Cut you have a great combination that makes your curls come alive, lasts longer and gives you pleasure enjoying your hair as it grows between services. You can actually look forward to a salon visit again! Goldwell hair color is used to create Natural and Natural/Fashion hair tones with a multi-dimensional look that will even fool your mother. I work with over 90% wavy, curly and multi textural hair and have not taken a new client with straight hair in over 4 years but I still have a few clients that will not go anywhere else along with a handful of men's cuts also - but will no longer take any new men or str8 hair cuts. Options and possibilities are offered and always encourage you to contact me if there is any problems with your hair. When we explore new ways of how to work with your hair, and if over a week or two, you are having any issue at all...please contact me to set up a time to go over other possibilities that may work better for you.
