Proudly serving the LGBT Community since 1969, we celebrate 45 years of mental health and addiction recovery service this year!
Seattle Counseling Service is a community based organization that has been dedicated to promoting health and wellness within the LGBT community for 45 years. SCS began as a solely volunteer-supported effort in the summer of 1969 to fill an unmet need for community members to connect with one another in a safe and supportive environment. Over the years, SCS has become a nationally recognized leader in cutting edge approaches to therapy, education, intervention and recovery. There are many reasons that people decide to go into therapy. Some of us need help managing depression, anxiety or sever mental illness. We may need support as we go through a major life transition or begin to explore our identity. Sometimes we just want outside perspective and insight. Mental health services include: - Individual Therapy & Case Management - Couples & Family Therapy - Group Therapy - Psychiatric Services and Medication Management Sometimes we feel conflicted about giving up our drug of choice, even when we realize it's causing problems in our lives, and recovery can seem like an impossible goal. It is a process that requires time, commitment, motivation and support. We can help you engage in the treatment process, modify your attitudes and behaviors related to drug use and increase healthy life skills. All services are completely confidential. We offer: - Chemical Dependency Assessments - Individual Counseling & Case Management - Group Therapy

ODW was started by an average family that chose to donate their entire 2009 salary in hopes of inspiring people to simply donate their one day's wages (0.4% of one's annual salary) at least once/year. We don't have to be rock stars or billionaires. We can all make an impact. ODW is you, me, us, and them working together for a more just and beautiful world. Join the movement: onedayswages.org
