We've had a busy fall season so far--21 babies born in September and October. Congratulations to all the growing families! Feel free to post your lovely baby photos here. <3
Today our student Kelly moves on to another midwifery site in Oregon. Kelly has been with us for the last year and on call most of that time. Big thanks to her for all her time, attention to detail and care of our SHMS clients (at all hours of day and night)--and for the many hats she knit for babies! Kelly, you will be missed. <3 from the SHMS team
Happy December all! We were a busy bunch in November, helping to welcome 11 babies. Wishing all the new families love and warmth (and sleep) during their babymoons. <3
The late September and October babies are arriving and we couldn't be more pleased to see these dear new faces and the making of families. Love love love to you all!
It's a boy! First words out of big sister's mouth: "He can go fishing with daddy." (I guess she's not keen on going herself.)
The weekend brought sunshine and two sweet babies. One at Center for Birth and the other at Seattle Home Maternity Birth Center. They were so kind to come during daylight hours.
Three more babies born in the last week--2 boys and 1 girl. Three happy families. (and 2 happy midwives <3)
Today brings 2 beautiful boys into the world. The first was born under cover of darkness and he joins a lovely family with a brother and a sister. The second was born at home in Renton surrounded by adoring friends/doulas. And it's just now noon--who's next?
A wee girl came swiftly into the world (after quite a bit of waiting) last Friday. Way to go mama: born on the 4th of July!
We met a new baby girl in our birth center in Columbia City on July 3rd. She was birthed with strength and grace and is so loved. Welcome!
On the 30th of June under cover of night 2 labors unfolded. By dawn there were 2 new baby boys in the world, both born at home (Renton and SW Seattle). 2 strong mamas, 2 adoring papas, one new big sister and one new big brother! 2 happy midwives<3
Last Saturday a new baby boy made his way into the world with lots of love surrounding his hard-working mama and adoring papa. Welcome!
We are so proud to be a part of the journey of midwifery students who work so hard for our us and our clients. We spend many hours together, often through the night and into the next day. Earlier this year we said farewell to Taylor after a year working in our practice. Thank you, Taylor for your hard work and dedication to our clients--we miss you! Yesterday was our student Jenn's last day of clinic--a big thank you to Jenn! Your caring communication and attention to detail was a gift to our practice. Jenn is soon to graduate!
Loved getting to meet a new girl baby on Saturday--she was born swiftly at home while her big sister watched. What a family full of love!
Our first June baby arrived today! She is a healthy, lovely girl child, born at home. <3
