Our mission is to provide college scholarships to qualified high school seniors in King County. We offer six scholarships, ranging from $1,500 to $3,500.
There are six scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $3,500 to high school seniors in King County that plan on attending a college or university. Our fund was started by generous donors from the Swedish Community and is now funded by anyone wishing to make a contribution to further our cause.

Finalists for this year's scholarships have now been selected. The finalist interviews will take place at the Swedish Club on May 17th. There were many outstanding applications this year. We wish everyone who applied all the best as they continue their educations - the future looks very bright for them all!
The deadline for 2014 is now past and we are reviewing applications. We will keep you posted on the outcome!
Did you know that since its inception in 1968, SSCS has awarded 199 scholarships totaling over $388,000? Recipients attended our excellent Washington universities and many institutions across the USA, including MIT, Harvard, Cornell, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Reed and UCLA.
