Here's a great chance to get involved with the acclaimed Moral Mondays series, sent to us from our friends at SGSU: MORAL MONDAYS at SU: So You Think You Can Step? For SU Students: MORAL MONDAYS is laying the ground work to start a step team - African and African American tradition of rhythmic group routines and call-and-response - here at Seattle University in 2016 called BStepU. On Monday, October 26th from 7:30 – 9:30pm in the Student Center Building / STCN 130, MORAL MONDAY at SU will hold a workshop – a kind of Step 101. This is not tryouts for the actual BStepU team. They are laying the ground work for Seattle University’s first step team. Actual tryouts for will be held the beginning of Winter Quarter 2016. Feel free to share and encourage your friends and other students to attend the BStepU workshop. Few questions you might have: - Do I need to know how to step? No step experience required, just a willingness to learn and participate. - What will happen as part of the workshop? Students will learn Step Dance 101 (basic moves, rhyming, chants, and styles of step dance) from Charles Simmons and get information on the possible formation of a future step team. - Who can participate in the workshop? Any and all SU students can participate. For questions and more information email moralmondays@seattleu.edu
