The Acquired Brain Program provides support and services to adult individuals with acquired brain injuries, who may have a wide spectrum of physical and/or mental health issues. Our focus is devoted to creating an environment where self-esteem and social identity is embraced and fostered, accentuating each person’s strengths, needs, abilities and desires to have control of their own lives – on their own terms.

Semiahmoo House Society's Acquired Brain Injury Services are funded by the Fraser Health Authority. The Acquired Brain Injury program provides a natural home environment where supported individuals have access to assistance and guidance when ever possible that builds self confidence and promotes personal growth. In this regard, we make efforts to ensure all our interactions are person centered and dedicated to encouraging personal choice and direction. We work from a holistic perspective ensuring the development of strategies are inclusive and considerate of all areas of each person’s life, i.e. individual health, education, vocation, community involvement, and spirituality/religion. Supported individuals are encouraged to build connections such as personal networks to build/enhance social skills development and inter-personal skills.Company Rating
