Shabby Hats is a not-for-profit cooperative that facilitates peer-to-peer support among startups.

Description

As a lean-starter cooperative, Shabby Hats facilitates cooperation and mutual support between job creators. It allows startups to pool their assets to minimize waste, minimize risk, and grow more efficiently. Together we are more successful. The not-for-profit cooperative provides a backbone for subsidized resources, exchanges, connections and mentorship. Most importantly, Shabby Hats is like-minds funding each other, collaborating, learning, and encouraging one another. And when the going gets rough for entrepreneurs, they make sure there is time to have fun too. Support your entrepreneurial neighbor, and your neighbor supports you. Join. Participate. Contribute. Shabby Hats is a 501(c)(3) Board-managed corporation. Shabby Hats raises funds through a number of efforts including sponsorships, crowdsourcing (i.e. Neighbor.ly), grants, events, donations and sales. Efforts are initiated by the Board and run with the help of volunteers/members.
