SAF is a not-for-profit organization, founded in 2014 by members of the Sikh community. Based on the principles of Sikhism, SAF is committed to the betterment of all regardless of race, caste, or religion and devoted to the selfless service of humanity. Some of our projects include investing in children's education, building and repairing homes for the homeless, monthly food allowances for the poor, as well as improving access to water and sanitation. Another aim is to teach Sikh History and Guru’s Teachings and principles through practice. We have volunteers in Canada and India, who are passionate and want to help spread Sikhi throughout India to Sikhs who haven't had the privilege to know what Sikhism really is. Our mission is to spiritually enlighten the youth, provide knowledge about Sikh way of life and reconnect them with Waheguru (GOD). SAF provides financial aid to the underprivileged, poverty stricken families. We provide these families enough help to carry on with their daily lives without any hurdles which could cause major depression and may lead to mental/behavioural problems or even suicide.
