Silvia Tcherassi is the namesake brand of the fashion designer and acclaimed lifestyle entrepreneur who is considered one of the most creative, innovative and versatile personalities in the world of fashion. With only 15 years in the industry, she has positioned her brand internationally by showing her pret-a-porter collections at the Fashion Weeks in Milan and Paris as a special guest of the organizers. Her style has been defined by the 'Dizionario della Moda' as eclectic, her clothes, as having the delicateness of a ballet dancer and, at the same time, the strength of a rock star. If her pret-a-porter collections anticipate the concept of demi couture, her wedding gowns have become the perfect vehicle for her creative talent; one of her pieces having been selected to participate at the "Unbridaled: The Marriage of Tradition and Avant Garde" exhibition in Paris. Her approach has made her deserving of important international recognition, among which is the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Literature), awarded by the French government. Tcherassi is spokesperson for "More Arts, Less Mines" campaign against anti-personnel mines, of UNICEF. Searching to expand her vision beyond fashion, Tcherassi opened her first namesake hotel, The Tcherassi Hotel + Spa in Cartagena, Colombia, as her first brand extension that will translate her concepts into the design of spaces and the creation of experiences. She is the author of the book "Elegancia sin Esfuerzo" (Effortless Elegance) published by Random House Mondadori. Tcherassi was born in the Colombian Caribbean, is married, has two children, and lives in the United States. Silvia Tcherassi es la marca de la reconocida diseñadora de modas y empresaria, quien es considerada una de las figuras más creativas, innovadoras y versátiles del mundo de la moda. Con solo 15 años en la industria, ha posicionado su marca internacionalmente exhibiendo sus colecciones prêt-à-porter en las semanas de la moda de Milán y París, invitada especialmente por sus organizadores. Su estilo ha sido definido por el Dizionario della Moda como ecléctico, calificando sus prendas como poseedoras de la delicadeza de una bailarina de ballet y la fuerza de una rock star al mismo tiempo. Si sus colecciones prêt-à-porter anticiparon el concepto de demi couture, sus trajes de novia se han convertido en una perfecta muestra de su talento creativo, siendo recientemente seleccionada para participar con una de sus creaciones en la exhibición “Unbridaled: The Marriage of Tradition and Avant Garde” en París. Es la autora del libro “Elegancia sin Esfuerzo” publicado por Random House Mondadori. Tcherassi nació en el caribe colombiano, está casada, tiene dos hijos y vive en los Estados Unidos.
