Just a heads-up; I'll be off on holiday for a week from next Wednesday so get your dodgy gear in quick-sharp to avoid an extra week's wait.
Performed pickup surgery on a Squier Jagmaster today, always daunting due to how unbelievably fragile those winding wires are (thinner than a human hair, in fact). I forgot to take a bloody photo too.
Merry Christmas to you all. Here's to all the socks, ties, t-shirts and mugs with guitars on we all undoubtedly received from parents and relatives today.
Howdy, y'all. Off on holiday for a couple of weeks so no work until I get back but feel free to flood my inbox with repair jobs, setups, pedal ideas et al as I'm sure I'll be desperate for cash when I return.
Just delivered a repaired Squier Jazzmaster - very nice guitar. Neat wiring, decent soldering, Les Paul-style toggle (as opposed to the flimsier SG-style ones found in Fenders) and a very playable neck profile with big, fat frets (a bit inauthentic but, c'mon). Didn't try out the Chinese tremolo (which could make or break it) but they seem to be a better choice over the cheaper Fenders.
I'll be biasing my first tube amp this week. 400 volts.. I'm sure I'll be fine..
Looks like a great offer. 100 watt peavey valve head for less than £200. It's been on for a while too so you could probably talk him down. Bought myself an amp this morning, otherwise I'd go for it. http://m.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/peavey-rock-master-valve-head/1078050169?responsive=true&utm_source=systemedm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=adreply
