Description

At Skylight Theatre Company, our goal is to create a theatrical experience that not only entertains, but sparks a greater interest in Los Angeles’ cultural scene through the introduction of new and provocative works. We educate and nurture our artists with the intention that they will become audacious and unafraid to be innovative. Our goal is that each time you come to the theater you will leave with something to talk about, something to remember.

Skylight develops, nurtures and educates artists. Writers are the backbone of all the entertainment we enjoy and yet there are few places, other than in school, that they have an opportunity to explore and hone their talents. Theater requires a important partner in that process, the AUDIENCE. Without you, it's just words on a page. Our goal is to advance the art of theatre AND entertain audiences. We offer a variety of programs, including a Teen Ticket Program and the Beyond Conversation Series in addition to our ongoing artist development programs: INKubator’s Play Reading Series, PLAYLab, and LAb Works, and the teen/young adult programs, unAUTHORized and The Lyric Project.
