One more post! Here is a more complete description of the positions available on our Executive Board. Again, please try to email me ( before our elections tomorrow about the position you are interested in to help elections run smoothly. For President we like to have someone that is familiar with JSA and our relationships with Chabad, Hillel, and Campus Ministry, if you have worked with them before than it is a good position to run for, if not you may want to wait until next school year. The president is also in charge of being the main contact for any individual at SLU who has questions about Judaism. President should have been involved with JSA for at least one complete school year. For Vice-President we like to use the position to help "groom" a new president and to help the president take all of our relationships with outside organization like Chabad, Hillel, and Campus Ministry and put them in to action with the other members of the E-board. Treasurer is a pretty self explanatory position, it requires helping manage our funds and working with SGA to receive funding and also contacting outside sources if we need donations. Secretary is also relatively self explanatory - you would be in charge of taking minutes at meetings, helping to fill out paperwork and working with the PR chair to make fliers and update social media DLC Representative is one of our most vital positions and a position that we have not been able to fill and desperately need. Whoever becomes DLC Representative will begin immediately, as opposed to other positions that will slowly transfer in to their new roles as the semester continues. DLC Representative has to be available every Tuesday night to attend DLC meetings and represent JSA to the SLU Community. If your Tuesdays are free and you are really interested in becoming involved in campus as well as JSA this is definitely a great position. PR/Special Events Chair would help to plan our holiday parties and work to keep our social media updated. They would also be in charge of helping to publicize JSA during club rush and when we have major events. PR chair is also in charge of helping to update our webpage with campus ministry. Atlas Week Chair is in charge of recruiting speakers for and planning JSA Atlas Week events. These events should reflect both JSA's alliance with Israel along with JSA' mission to bring the Jewish culture to SLU's campus.

Hey all! If anyone is interested in attending Passover Seders at Chabad let myself or Sydney Mogul know. We want to reserve all of our spots together. We would love to celebrate the holiday with our fellow SLU Jews.

Hi JSA! Reminder that our first meeting and elections will be held tomorrow. We will be meeting in the lobby of Ritter at 7 pm and then walking to our room together. Hope to see everyone there. Again, please email me ( if you are interested in running for a position!

More election information: We will be electing a new Executive Board the positions we are looking to fill are: President Vice-President Treasurer Secretary DLC (Diversity Leadership Cabinet) Representative PR/Special Events Chair In the past we have never filled all of these positions, so we are flexible with how our Executive Board is made up. Positions can be combined or re-invented. If you would feel more comfortable running for a position with a co that is okay too! The only requirement to run for a position is that we would like the President to have been active in JSA for one year. Please e-mail me at if you are interested in running for a position or for more information!
