In a good surgeon, a hawk's eye: a lion's heart: and a lady's hand.
I have said this before and its worth saying again we do not recommend installation of aftermarket security or remote start systems on your vehicle. These systems cause more trouble than they're worth, we have at least two cars a month come in with no start conditions related to security systems installed incorrectly, or just a faulty systems in the first place.
Everyone is a moon and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.
I have said this before but when coming off the highway on an exit ramp try to stop slowly and at the end of the ramp don't keep hard pressure on your brake pedal. Your brakes get hot during the slowing process and keeping pressure on them can cause the rotors to warp.
If you could never afford a car new don't buy it used. In other words don't buy a used Audi, Mercedes, or BMW the cost of parts are double and sometimes triple over Hondas, Toyotas, Fords, and the like. Again don't buy a older high millage luxury car, I know it sounds fun to have a BMW or one of these other cars but don't buy into the hype, you will soon regret it.
Man without woman would be as stupid a game as playing checkers alone.
You shop around for dishwashers, television's and shoes, you get more than one estimate for a kitchen remodel, why not do the same with your car. Don't settle for one estimate from us or anyone else, do your homework on the repair, shop smart you will see the savings.
Early Romans began their year with the spring, and their first month was named Martius after Mars, their God of War. The name we call this month now is March.
After driving in deep snow check your wheels for snow packed in the spokes. The snow will melt from the hot brakes and then freeze in the wheel causing the wheel to be out of balance. Go to your car wash and blast the wheels clean of ice and snow if you find any.
Laughing is a sensation of feeling good all over, and showing it principally in one spot. Henry Wheeler Shaw 1818.
Its extremely cold and windy outside you don't like it and your car doesn't either, bring it in for some TLC your car will really appreciate it. TLC like tire pressure checks, cooling system checks, you know a day spa for your car.
Nobody knows the age of the human race, but all agree that it is old enough to know better.

Men show their characters in nothing more clearly than in what they think laughable. J. VON GOETHE, 1749
"I'm from Florida, we're used to hot weather," Toni Bryant said. Bryant was driving in northeast Ohio when her car started sliding. "I just pulled over and had to get someone to come get the car," Bryant explained. Bryant admitted her Florida tires are not good in snow. But what tires do you want if you live here in northeast Ohio. "Snow tires have hydrophilic rubber in them. The colder it gets, the stickier it will get," The rubber compound used in snow tires stays softer in cold weather. The tires are also chunkier and grip better due to all the tiny little grooves called sipes. "These actually help bite the snow and ice. They act like little cleats," Tests have shown snow tires can increase traction and handling by up to 25 percent in wintery conditions. Remember, if you invest in snows, your regular tires should last twice as long because you're using them less. The softer rubber on snow tires wears quicker on pavement, so change them as soon as winter is over. No matter which tires you go with, experts advise proper air pressure. Replace your tires when they are worn or you may slip and slide around town no matter which tires you invested in for your car.
Our youth have an insatiable desire for wealth: they have bad manners and atrocious customs regarding dressing their hair and what garments or shoes they wear. PLATO 428 BC
Starting your car to warm it up on very cold days is a good idea for a warm interior. But remember you only warmed up the engine not the transmission, so take it easy the first few miles or so to let the trans get warmed up also.
Besides theology, music is the only art capable of affording peace and joy of the heart like that induced by the study of the science of divinity... Martin Luther 1483
Some slick road driving tips. If you are coming to an intersection and can't get stopped in time put you car into neutral it will stop better. The reason for this is your car engine is trying to turn your tires at the same time your brakes are trying to stop the vehicle. It works give it a try in a parking lot with lots of room you will see the difference, again only for very icy conditions. This works great with rear drive vehicles but can be used with front wheel drive also.
It is better to wear out than to rust out. Bishop George Horne Sermon 1730
Its going to get cold later this week now is the time to get your oil changed and with it to get all your fluids checks and topped off. Also with the Standard oils change we will check the condition of your antifreeze to protect you from freeze-ups.
For the ladies. Being a woman is a terribly difficult task since it consist principally in with dealing with men.
For the time being we will be closed Saturdays starting the 24th of January. Thank you.
Its cold outside remember to have your coolant checked to make sure you are protected from freeze up. Your antifreeze is a mixture of water and glycol, the glycol keeps the water from freezing, if not mixed correctly it will freeze and cause damage to your engine.
In other words keep air in your tires.
If everything on TV were true, then keeping a vehicle running great, looking good, and lasting a long time would be the easiest thing ever. Advertising will tell us over and over that all we really need to do to keep that car or truck running forever and looking brand new for years is to pour some bottles of miracle liquid into the crankcase, sprinkle magic dust on the paint, or spray some sort of ionized wonder water on the interior. Unfortunately this is not the case. Following the old adage that "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is" comes the news that regular, proper care and maintenance are what really keep vehicles going into the high six-figure mileage ranges. Miracle cures, magic fairy dust, mystery polymers and the like are all fine and good for infomercials, but most likely won't do much good for your vehicle. Regularly scheduled maintenance and lubrication using the manufacturers recommended type and formulation of oil, grease and liquids is what will do the trick. Replacing normal wear-and-tear parts such as timing belts before they break is also a good path to follow on the road to long vehicle life. Taking good care of your vehicle can make the difference between being the proud owner of a good looking, long lasting, reliable machine, and saying goodbye to a rusty, faded-paint jalopy that fell apart or broke down long before it was designed to.
We exaggerate misfortune and happiness alike. We are never either so wretched or so happy as say we are. Honoré de Balzac he said this in1825 a long time before Facebook.

When done at the recommended times, [tire rotation] can preserve balanced handling and traction and even out tire wear. Tire rotation can even provide performance advantages."

Maintaining correct tire inflation pressure helps optimize tire performance and fuel economy. Correct tire inflation pressure allows drivers to experience tire comfort, durability and performance designed to match the needs of their vehicles. Tire deflection (the tread and sidewall flexing where the tread comes into contact with the road) will remain as originally designed and excessive sidewall flexing and tread squirm will be avoided. Heat buildup will be managed and rolling resistance will be appropriate. Proper tire inflation pressure also stabilizes the tire's structure, blending the tire's responsiveness, traction and handling.
There’s nothing worse than having to get a car repair done, and then it costs too much and/or isn’t done properly. Not surprisingly, these are the top two complaints of respondents in a new survey from Consumer Reports. Wait, there’s more. Of the 13 reasons given for being less than “very” or “completely satisfied” with a repair, after price too high (38 percent) and did not fix problem properly (28 percent), the next three highest were: took longer than expected to complete the work (21 percent), had to bring the car back because the repair did not “hold up” (18 percent), and price was more than originally estimated (11 percent). In fact, the entire list of reasons for customer dissatisfaction with car repairs reads like a litany of complaints that many a household experiences. We’re all holding on to our vehicles longer, nearly six years, on average. That means more eventual trips to the dealership or independent shop or franchise chain such as Midas or Sears for repair work of a major or minor nature. In the latest survey, Consumer Reports for the first time recontacted some 5,400 respondents to ask about their specific car repair gripes. Dealerships came out on the worst end here relative to high prices, with 42 percent of respondents, while independent shops were at 32 percent. As for the problem not being fixed properly, the criticism reported was at the same rate for both dealerships and independent shops. 2012 Chrysler Town & Country 2012 Chrysler Town & Country Another interesting survey finding is that most car owners are taking their vehicles to independent shops for repairs, rather than dealerships. This is consistent with past years’ findings. Who prefers independents the most? According to the survey, owners of Chrysler, Dodge, Jaguar, Jeep, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo are less satisfied with dealership repairs than owners of most other vehicle brands. Reasons cited for ditching a mechanic Delving a bit deeper into recontacted consumers’ dissatisfaction with a shop, the reasons for switching to another shop was similar to their top complaints about car repairs. Here, however, the number one and two reasons were reversed. Fifty percent said the problem wasn’t fixed properly and 34 percent said the price was too high. Tied for third place, at 23 percent each, were “had to bring the car back because the repair did not ‘hold up,’ and “sold me unnecessary parts or service.” Next came a three-way tie, at 19 percent each, for “treated poorly by staff,” “took longer than expected to complete the work,” and “price was more than originally estimated.”
