Description

Our diverse and multicultural curriculum focuses on kindergarten preparation. We want our children to succeed in school; our activities and lessons are all based on the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs). The age appropriate skills taught at Sneakers all share one goal: to instill in the child the self confidence needed to approach a new concept or challenge with the attitude of "I can".

General Info

Sneakers provides a safe and fun environment for ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are open Monday - Friday 6 AM to 6:30 PM. Rodney Torp has lived in Frederick County for the past twenty one years, and is a proud member of this community. He received his BS degrees in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Clarion University in Pennsylvania, and his Masters in Education Administration from Shenandoah University. After having taught in the Shenandoah County public school system for nine years, he was hired to direct a preschool in Falls Church. After ten years, he has returned to the Winchester area to open Sneakers Educational Childcare,Inc. an active learning childcare in his own community. He has been an active member of Boy Scouts of America for over 26 years, is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America , and a member of the National Ski Patrol, serving at Bryce Mountain, Virginia.
