You know the old saying "One mans trash is another mans treasure"? Well, I totally agree. I LOVE finding old pieces that have so much history in them.
Everywhere I go I see wood that can be painted, pieces that can have new life, and I want them! I love the process of fixing pieces up and starting to envision what direction they should go. The colors, designs, etc, it all comes to me as I sit and look at the piece. Its so much fun! If you have a piece of furniture that you already own in your home that you would love even more in color, I can do it for you! Contact me for a quote and we can talk.

Hey everyone. Sorry things have been so quiet on the page. I have been having some medical problems that have made working in my shop a little difficult. At least for a little while, until I have all this medical stuff under control I am going to put custom work on hold. I will be making some in stock items as I can and will possibly open things up to customize colors and stuff like that. I appreciate everyones support and look forward to getting back to making some fun stuff soon! God Bless. Gretchen
I also donated a sign to a raffle for a local running club. It was so popular I got orders from 11 ladies wanting their own. Then the same night Jodie, from Vintage Bits, contacted me wanting to order Easter signs for her shop. So, I'm going to be burning the midnight oil around here for the next couple weeks. I'm not complaining at all. I feel so Blessed that people love my signs. Prayers definitely being answered and that's always a good thing! :)
We don't really do presents between my hubby and I. I get spoiled throughout the year by my honey. So my favorite gift was from my ten year old daughter. A necklace she picked out herself. It was a silver circle that has the words "Mother, Daughter, Friends" around it and two rhinestone hearts in the middle. Means the world to me. What was your favorite gift you received for Christmas?
Hope everyone is enjoying time with loved ones. Thank you to everyone who has supported my business this year. I feel honored to have been asked to make gifts for family and friends. Hope they enjoyed their customized gifts! Taking a couple weeks off to regroup and to hopefully get these meds in my system and feel better so I can come back full force. I am excited to be adding some new products to the list soon, so watch for announcements in the coming weeks! :) Happy Holidays everyone and God Bless!
So, who is still has Christmas shopping to do? I am lucky, my hubby did all the Christmas shopping online. I went out yesterday to pick up a few things we needed and to get a coffee cup so I could make my daughter a few last minute teacher gifts. Its CRAZINESS out there!!! My friend said she was out for 7 hours the other day shopping for Christmas presents. It takes forever finding parking spots and waiting in checkout lines too. I'm ready for it to be over so I can make my run to Walmart or Target to get things without having to deal with the crazies!!
Wanted to give you all an update. The cardiologist definetly needs to run more tests. Because of the dizziness that I am hit with almost 24/7 it makes the time I can be up on my feet limited. My turnaround time right now is about 10 days, so let me know ASAP if you need something made. I am truly blessed to have amazing customers who have been patient with longer wait times while I have not been feeling well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Because of some medical issues I am currently going through I am taking a very limited amount of orders for the next few weeks. If there is something that you have been putting off ordering and need it before Christmas, please let me know ASAP. Would appreciate any positive thoughts or prayers you could offer up. I am worried a bout whats happening and ready for the docs to figure out what is going on. I hope everyone having a wonderful Holiday Season! God Bless!
So who is headed out to Black Friday sales? What is on your list?
With the weather starting to cool off here in SD I can finally start crocheting! I had a sister biz for a very short time before my surgeries a few years and kind of put it on the back burner. I am going yo breath life back into and start doing my other crafty things too. So watch for an announcement with a link to my Sister page sometime this week! :)
Hope everyone had a great weekend. :) I got some painting done so thats good!
