According to Ashoka are social entrepreneurs individuals with innovative solutions to society’s most pressing social problems. Since those problems are abundant globally, wouldn't it make sense to teach about social innovation and social entrepreneurship at school? Wir sind ein internationales und interdisziplinäres Team das sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat Social Entrepreneurship Education in Deutschland und Südafrika zu fördern. In unseren Workshops geben wir jungen Menschen einen praktischen Einblick in das Thema soziales Unternehmertum und sensibilisieren sie für gesellschaftliche Themen und Möglichkeiten des sozialen Engagements. Dabei ist es uns wichtig Kreativität, Teamgeist, unternehmerisches Handeln und lösungsorientiertes Denken zu fördern. Wir bieten auch Einführungs-Workshops für Lehrer/innen an und entwickeln stetig weitere Angebote. Social Innovation Meets School (SIMS) ist ein Projekt von Whatamission (www.whatamission.com).
