Hello, my name is Linda Peterson. I currently live in Surrey, BC with my husband. I learned how to sew in high school and have continued to do different sewing projects since. In 2004 I made three soft sculpture dolls, sold each of them and continue to sew them today. The dolls have been enjoyed by males and females; infants, children, nannies and grannies. Dolls now reside in Costa Rica, Montana, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. I've used 100% cotton in various 'skin tones' for the doll bodies the hair is varied colours and blends of yarn or fabric strips sewn on by hand. A cheerful smile and bright eyes colours each face, and is done so with permanent marker. Polyester fiberfill allows real soft cuddles with the dolls. Fabric for clothing ranges from silk and satin to corduroy and polyester blends. Clothing pieces include dresses with a slip on or bow-tied apron, pants and shirts blouses for 'girl or boy' appearance. I've used Velcro as a blouse/dress/pant closure or bow ties with aprons/coats. No snaps, hooks/eyes, zippers or buttons. Any fabric has been machine washed and machine dried. The dolls are $25 Canadian, and include a dress and apron, or pant and blouse/shirt. The pieces of additional clothing or blankets costs four dollars to fifteen dollars. For postage consider that a doll and one outfit can weigh between 350 grams, and 485 grams. Postage may cost $8 or more in BC, and would be more across Canada. Express post to Manitoba for one doll can be $15.20 or more. Any postage cost will be charged to the customer.
