Solstice Seasonal Cuisine is a restaurant that revolves around exceptional, locally-sourced food. An emphasis on fresh ingredients and seasonal ingredients will result in a menu that is always being adapted to the products at our disposal. Award-winning Head Chef Jan Trittenbach will use his formal training and international influence to create refined dishes in a warm and inviting setting. Solstice will offer a casual fine dining experience that will appeal to Edmonton’s discerning diners, as well as a great late-night spot to come in for snacks and cocktails. Solstice is built around three cardinal principles: Great Food, Great Service and Community. Great Food Alberta’s fantastic local producers will be on display at Solstice. Working with local farms to provide our chefs with amazing products to work with year round. Fresh herbs will be grown on site to provide the perfect complement to each dish and the menu will change quarterly to reflect the diverse seasonal ingredients. Great Service The dining room at Solstice will be staffed by a friendly, knowledgeable service team whose passion for fine food, wine and cocktails is contagious. The wine program will feature some of Canada’s fantastic boutique wineries as well as international favorites, while Bar Manager Joshua Meachem produces some of Edmonton’s best hand-crafted cocktails. A lovely selection of craft beers will be a great way to start off a meal, or wind down at the end of the night. Staff education will never be complete with in-house food and beverage seminars. Community The addition of Solstice Seasonal Cuisine to the 124th Street business community brings a friendly group looking to support our neighbours. We are thrilled to have a chance to be a part of one of Edmonton’s greatest developing areas. Community does not stop on our street as we are looking to support a variety of local and global charities, as well as a scholarship program for those who are less fortunate and interested in a future in the culinary and hospitality industry. Solstice Seasonal Cuisine has a unique ownership concept in that all of the owners are managing partners at the restaurant. Our four partners bring close to 40 years of experience collectively to the restaurant with all four being part of an actively participating ownership group. With two partners active in the kitchen and two partners active in the front of house, we are personally responsible for the experience of all of our guests, and that responsibility will trickle down to the rest of the staff. This approach will result in fantastic dining for Edmontonians.
