Pumped for my 3PM class today! I'm training 2 of the most passionate people I have met in recent years, and if they stay like that about their music and DJing... then watch out, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the not too distant future!!! - ya cant beat passion! :-)
Some absolutely awesome news in the pipeline!! Very exciting times ahead!! Will make an announcement next week sometime!! :-)
Nothing substitutes pure passion. If you want something bad enough and go after it... it will be yours. Its that simple.
The best djs know how to strike the balance between predictable and surprising. Predictable with regards to timing and consistency, surprising with regards to content and execution! Get these two things around the wrong way and you're sure to make your listeners bored and/ or cringe.
'Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication' - This absolutely applies to djing and although your DJ rig might rival the international space stations computer systems, whats coming out the speakers is all that matters... and more often than not, its clear, clean and simple sounding! Less is almost always more....
A DJ who loves two genres of music is twice as rich as a DJ who only loves one!
I'm pretty damn happy to say that I have my first student locked in for some lessons this week! I'm pretty big on privacy and confidentiality so no student will ever be named or have their picture published on any of Soundskills social media/ webpages unless of course they want to be! :-) So.. whats a good program to pixelate faces with? haha *joking*
Well its not completely finished.. however, its close enough to show you and certainly wont affect my ability to deliver training to any new DJ's that want to improve quickly! So here it is.. My 'SoundSkills DJ School' facebook page! Let me know if there is anything I can help you with! cheers and Happy Friday! - Batch
