Founded in 2004 by Danyele Gardner, South Carolina Dance Company was designed to give a complete dance education to children and adults. With a highly qualified and committed professional faculty, we take pride in offering a complete quality dance curriculum for all ages and levels in the arts. SCDC offers Parties, Summer Classes, Fall dance classes of all genres and for all ages (including Ballroom/Shag classes/Zumba Fitness for adults), Voice, Acting, Musical Theater, and Pageantry/Modeling. SCDC students perform and volunteer within the community in charity events, fundraisers, church programs, theater performances, festivals, pageants, and dance competitions. General Info
South Carolina Dance Company is located down from the beautiful Lake Murray Dam in Lexington, SC. Many of our parents drop their children off to dance and enjoy a walk on Lake Murray. We have 10,000 square feet with 3 large dance rooms, 3 dance rooms for our younger students, a kitchen for studying or eating, a play room, a costume closet room, a washer and dryer room, 2 large locker rooms for our boys and girls with showers, a prop room, a large lobby, viewing windows to our classes, and a retail dance wear store. All studios have professionally built floating dance floors with Harlequin or Rosco Reversible Marley floors to reduce injury to students. SKA fitness clients say that our flooring is the BEST floor they've ever danced on and their joints feel great! SCDC has free internet for parents who would like stay at the studio while their child is dancing. Feel free to watch classes from our viewing windows or on our TV's in the lobby. SCDC has a open door policy where you are free to watch your child dance! We offer many classes! Competition Teams, Praise and Worship Dance, Jazz, Clogging, Lyrical, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Modern,Tumbling, Musical Theater, Ballroom, Shag, Pilates, Yoga, Hip Hop, Adult Jazz/Tap, Father/Daughter (Dads ‘n Dolls), Mother/Daughter (Terrific 2fs), Father/Sons, Mother/Sons, Twinkle Toes pre-school program (ages 3-5), Pageantry, Modeling, Acting, and Voice.
