Reminder to all: There is a meeting on March 5, 2015 with Councilman Klein, it is at 6:30pm at Tatoheads. It would be very helpful for everyone to attend. Here is Sherris explanation of the meetings purpose: "The biggest reason we asked him to come to our meeting was we want them to put a, what we call a 1,2,3 law in effect. It would be for bad landlords. So if, for example, a property had 10 calls to the police dept and had been raided, the landlord would have to evict these people or get big fines. It is just another way to get rid of the bad guys. So it is important if you can make it to the meeting that you do. The guys that shot at Carlas last night are part of the problem. They are theives and had 9 recycling cans in their back yard for hauling stolen property, they sell drugs, and now they are shooting people? We contacted the owners and their comment was for us to move. I do not think so. Please try to make the meeting. The louder our voice, the better! " The meeting will be short, over before 8pm, due to a band performing at Tatoheads that evening.
Channel 6 is doing a news report on us and will be interviewing Leah today.
Wonderful meeting last night. Special thank you to the people that are going to help get some more work done in here. We will be purchasing a walk behind weed wacker so we should be able to mow some of these over grown lawns and paint is being donated for covering graffiti. If anyone wants to donate white paint of any kind, just call me. We could use any type of paint and need quite a bit. Thanks to all for being such an awesome bunch of neighbors and making this the best place on the south side to live.

Thank you everyone who has helped during the last week in the garden, Nate, Leah, Sherri, John, Jamie, Shelda, Kyle, and Ken and others who stopped by to lend a quick hand, every bit helped. I will post some more pics when I get time. The garden is mostly in now, just a little more, like transplanting raspberry and strawberry plants. Thanks again!
