Dr. Siva Chan graduated on the Dean’s Honours’ List from the School of Optometry,University of Waterloo, in 2001. She gained valuable experiences in ocular emergency management, pre-/post-op optometric management, and ocular drug use during her experience in Immokalee, Florida. She is board certified by the Board of Examiners in Optometry in Canada, the use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) in Canada, and the Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases (TMOD) in the U.S. Dr. Chan also practices at the Vaughan Mills Eye Clinic inside the Vaughan Mills Mall . She is fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She enjoys quilting, drawing and Zumba Dr. Michelle Mak graduated with Dean’s Honours from the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Waterloo. She also received a degree in Honours Science from the University of Waterloo. She completed her externship at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Centre in Lexington, Kentucky, where she received advanced training in ocular therapeutics and ocular disease management. Dr. Mak is certified to use and prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents for various eye conditions, including ocular allergy and infection. Dr. Mak is fluent in English, Cantonese and some Mandarin. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. As a previous patient of the clinic, Dr. Mak is happy to be a part of the dedicated team of professionals at the South Unionville Eye Clinic. She is committed to serve her patients with the highest standard of eye and vision care. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and doing arts and crafts.
