An extra-ordinary no kill shelter! Our mission is to be an innovative regional leader in responsible treatment of homeless dogs and cats. The SPCA of Northern Nevada's shelter houses up to 60 dogs and 100 cats at a time. Additionally, we have an active Foster Program that cares for puppies and kittens until they are ready for adoption. Every animal that we adopt to the public is spayed and neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. All cats are tested for Felv/Fiv.

The mission of the SPCANN is to be an innovative regional leader in responsible treatment of homeless dogs and cats, primarily through their rescue and placement in forever loving homes, and by promoting spaying and neutering to control pet overpopulation. We accomplish our mission with dedication to our core values and a lifetime commitment to our animals.
