Spectacle is Portland's answer to modern vision care and exceptional eyewear. Dr. Marc Schmitt created Spectacle to serve as a single stop for eyewear and eye health enthusiasts alike. Dr. Schmitt feels strongly that no one should have to choose between a thorough, patient-centric eye examination and an optical with unique, hand-crafted eyewear that will not only hold up to whatever you throw at them but will also look good doing it. "SPX-PDX" is probably the one thing, we at Spectacle have organized, that we're most excited about. SPX-PDX is our in-house signature line of high quality frames that will definitely help you stand out in the crowd. Better still, proceeds from our SPX-PDX eyewear line go directly towards providing an exceptional pair of frames and prescription lenses to a deserving individual right here in our community. The potential recipients of these glasses will be nominated by you, our customers, friends, neighbors, and family. At Spectacle, we feel fortunate to be founded in a city where people take care of each other. You can help us put the "eye" back in team by supporting this program. Bottomline, we love finding glasses for the city that loves to wear them, and Dr. Schmitt's passion is helping his patients and the NW community maintain healthy, clear vision by actively listening to and carefully educating those under his care.
