Only a couple blocks from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Speedway Indoor Karting is a new world class indoor karting facility that provides visitors of all ages and experience, the opportunity to experience racing through driving on both a European style, multi-level track as well as a banked Super Speedway oval. With a personalized, hands on approach our visitors will quickly become acclimated to the karting equipment through easy coaching and guidance from staff and owners, Sarah Fisher and Andy O'Gara. Our customers will also have the availability to savor a delectable meal or drink while viewing karting drivers through the windows of a two story, on-site fully independent American Cuisine restaurant, 1911 Grill. Our 1911 Grill is open to all ages and features two stories of seating, both with outside seating, fireplaces and fantastic views of Main Street, Speedway.

General Info

1. Before you can race we require that you register for an annual license. This is a $10 fee before your first race that goes towards maintenance and other fees. You can register at one of the four iPad kiosks in the lobby when you arrive. 2. Ages 8-13 will race in the junior karts. Junior karts can only run with other junior karts. There will be no adult and junior karts together on the track at one time. 3. Races on the road course are 7 minutes long and races on the oval are 5 minutes. 4. After you register visit our front desk staff and pick your race package. After this you will watch a 5-minute safety video in the briefing room. This is important to keep all of our racers safe. Following the safety briefing you will get everything you need from the equipment room before taking the track. The staff will keep you updated on the heats and you can find what's coming up on the TV screens in the lobby. You will find your heat number on your race ticket, so keep it handy! 5. The two-seater is only running for corporate events at this time for safety reasons. All guests must be able to drive themselves (8 years old and 48 inch minimum) 6. You can bring your own helmet but we ask that still wear a neck brace. Helmet and neck brace (and head sock if you are borrowing one of ours) and closed toed shoes are the only required equipment to drive. 7. All of the karts are gas, which is why we have a state-of-the-art ventilation system. 8. We aren't currently taking reservations so please know that in busier times there may be a wait. Take advantage of our weekday pricing and shorter wait times if you can! 9. We do have a zero tolerance policy for drinking and karting. If you would like to take advantage of the bar at 1911 please do so after you race!
