2015 Speedway Star USA Sprintcar Tour 33 Day Tour Day 1 Wednesday July 15 Depart Sydney on Qantas flight to Indianapolis. If we get in early enough there is a USAC Sprintweek race at Terre Haute tonight. Wingate Motel Day 2 Thursday July 16 We will settle in at Indianapolis before attending USAC Sprintweek race at Putnamville IN. Day 3 Friday July 17 We have a two hour drive to Eldora for the Knight before the King’s Royal. We will stop at Winchester Speedway on the way to look at the highbanks. Randolph Inn Winchester Day 4 Saturday July 18 One of the World’s great Sprintcar shows tonight, the Kings Royal with Kerry Madsen trying to defend his crown! Day 5 Sunday July 19 We will have a look at the spectacular US Airforce Museum in Dayton today on our way to Pennsylvania. Day 6 Monday July 20 Today is a rest day in Butler PA. Day 7 Tuesday July 21 Tonight is the Don Martin Memorial World of Outlaw show at Lernerville PA, usually a great meeting. Day 8 Wednesday July 22 We head back to Eldora today for the NASCAR Truck Race. Holiday Inn Express Portland IN Day 9 Thursday July 23 We have the two hour drive back to Indianapolis where we will spend a few days. Tonight is the USAC Silver Crown cars on the pavement at Lucas Oils Raceway. Wingate Motel Indianapolis Day 10 Friday July 24 We will take in some of the sights of Indianapolis today before taking in a race at one of the nearby Indiana Speedway this evening. Day 11 Saturday July 25 Tonight we will find another local Sprintcar race this evening, after attending the Nationwide NASCAR race at IMS. Day 12 Sunday July 26 For those interested today is The Brickyard 400 NASCAR race at IMS, followed by Sprintcars at Kokomo. Day 13 Monday July 27 We will make our way towards Rapid City today, we will break the trip as it is quite a drive. Day 14 Tuesday July 28 Today we will drive through the Badlands National Park to the tiny town of Wall South Dakota. Day 15 Wednesday July 29 Mount Rushmore is the highlight for today. It is one of the great sights in the USA. Day 16 Thursday July 30 Night one of the Belleville Midget Nationals is this evening’s highlight. Holiday Inn Concordia KS Day 17 Friday July 31 Today we will take the short drive down to Lincoln Nebraska to have a look at Speedway Motors and Bill Smiths magnificent Automobile Museum, you will also have the option of seeing the USAC Silver Crown race at Belleville or the New National Sprintcar League meeting at I-80 Speedway in Nebraska. Day 18 Saturday August 1 The Belleville Midget Nationals is one of the great spectacles in American Speedway. Day 19 Sunday August 2 Off to Memphis this morning. Day 20 Monday August 3 While we are in Memphis we will visit the home of Elvis Graceland’s, Beale Street, Sun Records and the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King was shot. Holiday Inn Express Memphis Day 21 Tuesday August 4 Memphis. Day 22 Wednesday August 5 Off to St Louis. Day 23 Thursday August 6 We will have a look around St Louis this today. Best Western Festus MO Day 24 Friday August 7 Night one of the Ironman 55 at Pevly MO Day 25 Saturday August 8 We will have a relaxed morning around the motel before attending the Ironman 55, usually an action packed event. Day 26 Sunday August 9 We drive up to Knoxville today for the Ralph Capitani Classic. Holiday Inn Express Pella IA Day 27 Monday August 10 The action as tonight is at the Front Row Challenge at Oskaloosa, great racing at this warm up to Knoxville Nationals. Day 28 Tuesday August 11 Rest day today. Day 29 Wednesday August 12 We will be staying at the very comfortable Holiday Inn at Des Moines a great base for the four nights of racing you are in for at the 2015 Knoxville Sprintcar Nationals. We will head down to Knoxville early today to have a good look around and take in the National Sprintcar Museum and Hall of Fame before the racing starts. Tonight is the first night of qualifying so half the field take on the huge task of qualifying for the big one on Saturday night. Holiday Inn Des Moines IA Day 30 Thursday August 13 After your free hot breakfast we will go to Winterset to see the boyhood home of John Wayne and the Covered Bridges featured in the movie The Bridges of Madison County. Then off to the Marion County Fairgrounds for night two of qualifying at the Nationals. Day 31 Friday August 14 Tonight is the World Challenge at Knoxville plus some more Nationals qualifying. Some tour members might want to go have a look at the Iowa Speedway or the carts at Slideways in Knoxville during the morning. Day 32 Saturday August 15 Well it’s time for the Granddaddy of them all the Knoxville Nationals, only the very best drivers qualify for this massive event and with a bit of luck there could be a few Aussies in the A Main. Day 33 Sunday August 16 While some of the group head home today after an action packed 33 day trip, some will head off to Boston and New York for a few days of sightseeing. Hope everybody had a great time! The tour includes Airfares, twin share accommodation and usually hot breakfast, transport (we use rental cars for more flexibility (not stuck in a van!) and race tickets for Knoxville Nationals. We suggest you take $2000US spending money which should cover your food, side tours, souvenirs, additional race tickets and fuel.

Would you like to come to the USA with Wade Aunger? "Waido's Party Bus" tour to the USA works in conjunction with Wayne Meyer's Speedway Star Tour and incorporates the Peter Murphy Classic in California! Tour leaves Sydney on Tuesday, July 14. First port of call will be the Brad Doty Classic at Lima, then the two nights of the Kings Royal at the incredible Eldora Raceway. Sunday we fly back to Las Vegas for two nights before coming back to San Francisco for two nights and then on to Fresno California to spend the day looking at the race workshops in the area with Peter Murphy and have a BBQ dinner with the great man and some of his racing buddies. Friday night we head to Hanford California for some 410ci Sprintcar action and then on Saturday night it's the 2nd annual Peter Murphy Classic at the scary fast Tulare Thunderbowl! Sunday you can head home to OZ or head back East and check out the Knoxville Nationals with the Speedway Star tour or do your own thing. July 15-July 26 in a package that includes airfares, accommodation and some special personal bonuses that only our tour members get.
