Hello, We are Matt and Natalie Sanger and we are a husband and wife team dedicated to guiding high school athletes to their future college athletic programs. Matt was recruited in his senior year in high school to play at Hope International University. He played soccer for four years while earning his BA in Psychology. He then assissted the Men's Soccer program for two more years. Matt is Currently a coach for Strikers FC in Southern CA and also Head Coach for the La Habra High School Soccer Program. Natalie played two years of Soccer at BIOLA University and graduated with her BA in Liberal Studies. Having gone through the College Soccer recruiting process as a youth soccer player, a youth soccer coach, and a College assisstant coach, Matt realized how large the void is between College Soccer Programs and their prospective athletes. College programs all over the country struggle to find high quality players that they are willing to provide scholarships for. Meanwhile, too many players settle for ending their soccer career early or settling for a poor fit, simply because they did not know how to approach the recruiting process. Club sports are more than just a fun experience; they are an investment in your future. We, at Spotlight Athlete, are here to help you realize the value of that investment. As a College soccer player, Matt recieved more scholarship money in his four years of college, than his family paid for his entire club career. His story is not unique; it is not uncommon for players who are willing to put in the work to find the university program that is right for them. As a soccer player, your exposure is limited by two factors. First, you are limited by how many coaches see you play. Secondly, you are limited to what they see while they are there. Lets say that you are the goalkeeper for a Top Level team. If your team dominates a game, you may only touch the ball a few times which will not allow a coach to form a proper opinion of you. In a similar situation, lets say a coach comes out to watch a game of yours and you dont play very well. Both of these situations can be extremely limiting for your futue. With the technological advancements of the last several years, the recruiting process is moving towards a digital revolution. Coaches no longer have to be at your game in order to see if you would be a good fit for their programs. This is where we come in! Spotlight Athlete specializes in showing players at their best to the programs where they want to play. Our videos are unique to anything you have ever seen. We film several games and use this footage to create a compilation video that highlights the players abilities. All of our games are shot with High Quality HD Camera Equipment from two different angles: one is face level, the other is from a 20ft high camera system. In addition, we film the player in a skills session where they will demonstrate their fundamental abilities. We create a player profile that lists all of the player's information and accomplishments both on and off the field. We also include Coach and teammate evaluations, as well as a list of references. We create a package so complete that a Coach on the opposite side of the country will have the ability to make an informed decision about you as a player, without ever having met you in person.
