Språkkraft offers free, easy to use apps for immigrants who want to learn Swedish, when they want, via personalized media content. The apps support language learning from 18 languages and is available for Android, iOS mobile and tablets. FOUNDED IN STOCKHOLM IN SPRING 2015 by a number of committed social entrepreneurs to gather digital solutions with the potential to radically increase the integration rate among refugees, new arrivals and other immigrants to Sweden. Språkkraft offers free, easy to use apps and digital tools for immigrants who want to learn Swedish via personalized media content, with language learning support to 18 languages. Språkkraft has launched two apps for quick personalized language learning used by more than 80,000 people: Språkkraft Läscoach (February 2016) and SVT Språkplay (in October 2016 in collaboration with SVT). Both services are integrated dictionaries and language exercises through the reading of different types of media and gives the readers’ flexibility to access and study via their favourite content when they want. Both apps are available for Android and iOS mobile and tablet. Språkraft's vision is that everyone should be able to share their language and contributes to organizational, technical and educational infrastructures that supports the learning of Swedish in assigned activities in the field of asylum and facility accommodations, municipal education as well as in non-profit projects. Språkkraft is a nonprofit organization based in Stockholm, which is funded through donations, project financing and partnerships.
