St. Benedict Catholic School provides high-quality academic and Christian education for children. We offer preschool-8th grade.
At St. Benedict, we are more than a school, we are a family. We are committed to helping our students grow and learn in a partnership with our parents. Our students become lifelong friends from their school, as do many of the parents. It is a nurturing environment where students can achieve their greatest potential. Above all, our school is built on a foundation of Catholic values of Love and Respect. St. Benedict Catholic School prides itself on its Catholic identity. Students attend Mass weekly in small groups and monthly as a whole school. In addition to deeply integrating the Catholic faith in every subject taught and every activity planned, we are proud to be one of the few schools using a cutting-edge religion program called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, which is based on a Montessori approach to teaching our faith. St. Benedict offers a superior academic education in a structured environment that helps children realize their full potential. The comprehensive curriculum includes art, music, library, and physical education programs. Technology is integrated into all areas of the curriculum.
Tomorrow, classroom teachers are invited to bring their students to an Advent prayer service organized by Mrs. Hinkle and Mrs. Smith. Sister Rita from Our Lady of Lourdes will helping with music as well as students taking the lead with readings and carols. The Service begins at 8:20 and should conclude within an hour. Families are welcome to attend and share in the spirit as a school community.

In conjunction with the World Family of Meetings, Bishop Thomas has asked everyone in the Diocese of Toledo to participate in praying the rosary. In order to “bring this to light” a lighted traveling rosary has been making its way to all Catholic Schools throughout the 19 counties of the diocese. The rosary will be at St. Benedict School tomorrow, October 1. The students will have the opportunity to pray a decade of the rosary at afternoon prayer and will continue each Thursday afternoon through October, the month of Mary, Queen of the most Holy Rosary.
BOX TOPS – The competition is on! You have the entire month of October to turn in your saved Box Tops. As always, the winning class will receive a food or dessert party and the winning student will get a $20 gift card. • Clip each Top carefully/neatly along the pink edges. • Rubberband in groups of 25. • Label with student name and grade. • For every 25 turned in your student will receive a pass to Snack Shack.
