About A Catholic college for students of all backgrounds and abilities, St Davids is a friendly and inclusive sixth form college with a reputation for excellent teaching, academic results, support and guidance. It is the ideal bridge between school and higher education. Located in Cardiff we are the only 16-19 sixth form college in Wales. Amdanon ni Yn Goleg chweched dosbarth wedi ei leoli yng Nghaerdydd ar gyfer myfyrwyr o bob cefndir a gallu, mae Dewi Sant yn goleg Catholig cyfeillgar a chynhwysol gydag enw da am addysg, canlyniadau academaidd, cefnogaeth a chyfarwyddyd rhagorol. Mae'n bont ddelfrydol rhwng ysgol ac addysg uwch. Coleg Dewi Sant yw’r unig goleg chweched dosbarth Catholig yng Nghymru. Mission A Catholic college for the community seeking to discover and realise the full potential of all, in an atmosphere of love, service and respect inspired by Christ. Datganiad Cenhadaeth Coleg Catholig i'r gymuned sy'n ceisio darganfod a sylweddoli potensial llawn pawb, mewn awyrgylch o gariad, gwasanaeth a pharch sy'n cael ei ysbrydoli gan Grist. Description St David's enjoys a unique position in educational terms as it's the only Catholic sixth form college in Wales. It was founded by the Archdiocese of Cardiff to be a place where faith is respected and encouraged, a deeply human place where people find understanding and friendship. Although admissions priority is given to students from our four Catholic partner schools, we welcome students of other faiths and backgrounds. Whoever you are, and whatever it is that makes you unique in the sight of God, we will value that uniqueness at St David's. We are very proud of our reputation for academic excellence, in 2010 students achieved a 97% pass rate at A' level, with 37% at 'A' grade (including the Welsh Baccalaureate). We are very proud of our reputation for academic excellence, in 2012 40% of students gained an 'A' grade at A' level and 430 students progressed to University. Student support is a central pillar of the college as confirmed in the 2010 ESTYN Report on the college, in which St David's was praised for its high standards of learning and the achievements of our students. The inspectors commented "the quality of care, support and guidance is outstanding" and noted that "the grades learners achieve on A level courses are frequently outstanding". Because we're based on one compact campus, near the centre of Cardiff, we're a real community with a very supportive atmosphere. The choice of subjects here is surprisingly large - far more than can be offered at most schools. Disgrifiad Mae Dewi Sant â safle unigryw yn nhermau addysgiadol gan mai dyma'r unig goleg dosbarth Chwech Catholig yng Nghymru. Fe'i sefydlwyd gan Archesgobaeth Caerdydd i fod yn le lle caiff crefydd ei barchu a'i annog, yn le lle mae pobl yn bwysig ac y gallan nhw ddod o hyd i ddealltwriaeth a chyfeillgarwch. Er bod blaenoriaeth derbyn yn cael ei roi i fyfyrwyr o'n pedair ysgol Gatholig partnerol, rydyn ni'n croesawu myfyrwyr o ffydd a chefndiroedd eraill. Pwy bynnag ydych chi a beth bynnag sy'n eich gwneud yn unigryw yng ngolwg Duw, fe fyddwn yn gwerthfawrogi'r elfennau unigryw hynny yng Ngholeg Dewi Sant. Rydyn ni'n falch iawn o'n enw da am ragoriaeth academaidd, yn 2012, llwyddodd 40% o fyfyrwyr i gael gradd ‘A' yn lefel ‘A' gyda 430 o fyfyrwyr yn mynd ymlaen i astudio yn y Brifysgol. Mae cefnogi myfyrwyr yn un o gonglfeini'r coleg, fel a gadarnhawyd yn adroddiad 2010 ESTYN, lle cafodd Dewi Sant ei ganmol am ei safonau dysgu uchel a chyflawniadau ein myfyrwyr. Nododd yr arolygwyr bod "ansawdd y gofal, cefnogaeth ac arweiniad yn eithriadol" a bod "y graddau mae'r disgyblion yn eu cael ar gyrsiau lefel A yn aml yn rhagorol". Oherwydd ein bod wedi ein lleoli ar un campws cryno yn agos i ganol Caerdydd, rydyn ni'n gymuned real gydag awyrgylch gefnogol iawn. Mae'r dewis o bynciau yma'n rhyfeddol o eang - llawer mwy nag y gall y rhan fwyaf o ysgolion eu cynnig. A Catholic college for the community seeking to discover and realise the full potential of all, in an atmosphere of love, service and respect inspired by Christ.
