Do you know what you should do tonight? You should be at St Joan of Arc at 7 pm to watch the student's annual Christmas production. Then, after the play, swing down to the library and pick up a few new reads for your students, yourself, or others on your shopping list. I'll save you a seat in the gym! See you there!

September 1, we can begin to collect the Hy-Vee receipts! Please collect and turn your receipts into the school office or place them in the box in the church/school entry. For every $200 in receipts turned in the school will receive $1.00 to use for educational needs. Thanks again to our Hy-Vee chairperson, Lisa Peters for her endless hours of collecting, totaling and turning the receipts in! Volunteers are needed to help with a clean up of the gym this Sunday after the 11 am Mass, so plan to meet about 12:30 p.m. Due to hand prints, a good layer of dust and some leaking from the roof, the walls could use a good cleaning. Help is also needed moving the games that will be used for the Sausage fest next Saturday (sept 6th) from the third floor of the school down to the gym stage to get them ready for the festival next weekend. If we can get enough help it should only about an hour or so to complete. You can count any time you spend helping towards the Parent Participation Program. If you are able to help out, it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact James Burns with any questions.
Its the first day of school and aren't we all happy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Sxv-sUYtM
SJA folks: Kayleen Wallace was named the administrator of the year and will be honored at the The 37th Annual Archbishop’s Dinner for Education. It will take place at the Embassy Suites, La Vista, on Thursday, September 25, 2014. This annual celebration of Catholic education provides an opportunity to publicly recognize the dedication of individuals within the Catholic school system, to thank those who support Catholic schools, and to raise scholarship funds for low-income students to attend Catholic schools. We are in the process of reserving a few tables for the dinner. We would love to a large group from SJA!
