Preschool - Grade 8. At St. John Lutheran School, it is our goal to help our students know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
St. John Lutheran School is a school affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). We currently serve 230 students in Preschool (3-yr-olds) through Eighth Grade. Working with the students and their families are a faculty of 11 full-time teachers and two part-time teachers, and a staff that includes a learning center coordinator, teachers aides, pastors, and secretaries. Our students come from many geographical areas, including Franklin Township, Warren Township, Perry Township, Beech Grove, Greenwood, and Indianapolis.
Re-enrollment for current students continues, please see our past newsletters to enroll. New students will receive open spots as of Feb. 15th.
REGISTRATION 2015-16 WILL BE OPEN TO NEW FAMILIES February 15th. We will not hold spots for current students after that so please register online as soon as possible via the newsletter link.
FAMILY FUN NIGHT IS COMING SOON: We are seeking individual donations for example: a homemade pie or babysitting. We are also having classroom auction baskets again this year. Below are the themes for this year, if you have any questions regarding the donations, please contact Nicole Hartley or classroom room parents. JEANS DAY FOR $1 is this Friday, the last full school day before Spring Break. We will return to school Tuesday, April 7th. The office hours will be 8:00 am. – 1:00 pm. during the break.

ST. JOHN BOOK FAIR: Our annual Scholastic Book Fair sponsored by PTL will be open for students from March 11-13 and then available on Grandparents Day on March 13. Teachers will send home flyers about the book selections this week.
Jeans for $1 this Friday. Students can wear a Scrabble shirt to cheer on the state Scrabble participants or a college shirt to get ready for March Madness!
We would love a big turn out for our Get Acquainted Picnic this Friday at Southeastway Park @ 6pm. It's a great way for new families to meet students, parents, and staff! We'll be cooking out at Shelters 3 & 4 :)
Mark your calendars 5-8th Grade Parents! Aug. 19th & 20th @ 6pm. we will have a Sports Meeting for parents of students interested in playing sports this upcoming school year. This is a perfect opportunity for parents to bring in their child's Sports Physical Forms and find out any information about the sports your child is interested in playing.
ATTENTION 5TH & 6TH GRADE HOOPSTERS & PARENTS... Coach Wallace and Allen have a few dates set for our girls to come in and begin working on skills they will use to be successful next season. Please take advantage of this opportunity for fun and improvement! The dates are: June 16, 17, 19, 24, 25, 26 and July 1, 2, 7, 8 all practices are at 9 am. - 10:30 am.
ATTENTION ALL St. John 6TH, 7TH, & 8TH GRADERS... our gym will be open at times this summer to work on your game! It is not mandatory, but it will help you improve if you practice over the summer. We're open today for girls 9am. - 10:30am. and for boys 10:30am. - noon. The same goes for next Tuesday, so come out and play some ball!
Due to our generous Walk-A-Thon donors, we are installing 2 new SmartBoards today. One in the 7th Grade Classroom, and one in the Early Childhood Classroom! Thank you to all who participated and gave.
We thank our Walk-A-Thon donors for their generosity. As of this date, we have reached $10,886. Proceeds from this walk will assist St. John Lutheran School in a variety of ways.
St. John will graduate 18 eighth graders this Friday night in a service to be held in the Dwelling Place at 7:00 p.m. The service will be followed by a reception for the graduates. We congratulate all of our graduates and wish them God’s blessings as they continue to serve Him during their high school years.

Please join us tomorrow night, Wednesday the 21st, in the Dwelling Place for our first annual Band Concert at 7pm. Our Beginner and Concert Bands will perform along with our 3rd and 4th graders playing recorders.
