St. Louis County Community Chorus is a chorus comprised of men and women from around the region who come together to share their love of vocal music.
Artistic Director: Charles "Bud" Clark Mr. Clark has taught music in Missouri for 39 years, 18 in public school and most recently 21 years as Director of Choral Studies and Music Department Head at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri. He retired from Missouri Southern in 2010 and has moved back to Missouri after living in Hawaii for two years. (He missed the heat and humidity!) During his music career, Mr. Clark has directed over 300 district choirs, workshops, clinics, and concerts throughout the Midwest. His Missouri Southern Chamber Choir performed at MMEA, and extensively throughout Europe in Germany, Austria, Budapest, France, Italy, Switzerland, England, Ireland, and Australia. The highlight of these choir tours was singing a mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome and also at Notre Dame in Paris. Mr. Clark is Past President of the Missouri Music Educator Association, and is not lonely a member of MMEA, but also the American Choral Directors Association, and the Barbershop Harmony Society. Mr. Clark is currently the Artistic Director of the St. Louis County Community Chorus in St. Louis, Missouri and is the Music Director at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Rehearsals: Every Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm at Kirkwood Middle School beginning in September and extending through our final concert of the season in late April or early May. Performances: We currently perform a set of Holiday concerts in December and a Spring Concert in April/May. Additional concerts are currently under consideration. Auditions are held prior to each semester, in late August/early September and again in January. Interested parties are invited to inquire about joining, and we welcome you to visit our rehearsals. Auditions may be arranged outside of the typical dates, at the discretion of our Director.
