Mission: The mission of St. Paul Lutheran School is to share the Gospel and to provide for spiritual, intellectual, and social growth in a Christ-centered environment. ABOUT OUR SCHOOL Since 1840 St. Paul Lutheran School has serve enjoyed providing academic excellence, Christian discipleship, and Christ-centered atmosphere. Our certified teachers and leadership team is dedicated and fully quailed to ensure that our students are served well. We continue to seek ways to help our students grow intellectually, physically, and most importantly, spiritually. We believe that Lutheran education is "Christian" in the finest sense of the word because of its continual focus on God's saving grace in Christ as revealed in the Bible. A Christian education at St. Paul Lutheran School supports, supplements, and compliments the religious training of the Christian home more. Its express purpose is to prepare children for life in this world as they acquire skills through an academic education which meets the highest standards of accreditation of the State of Louisiana and the Lutheran Church. At the same time, our students are prepared for the life of the world to come as they grow in their knowledge of Christ and see themselves as included in His saving work through the study of Biblical materials consistent with the official teachings of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. This knowledge gives them the motivation to dedicate their developing skills to a life of loving service to God and man. We believe that the most successful agency in leading children to a vital Christian life, after the Christian home, is the Christian school, where every subject is taught and every activity carried out within the framework of the redemptive love of Christ. An education St. Paul Lutheran has been proven to lead our students to attend some of the highest performing high school in the New Orleans area and beyond. We are working to ensure to prepare 100% of our students to enter and excel in a rigorous four-year college or university. We believe in the power of high expectations for every one of our students to excel spiritually, academically, succeed in college, and become the future leaders of our city and nation. This year (2013-14), our students are 91% African American, 6% White, 2% Hispanic, 74% low-income (qualified for free/reduced lunch). 42% of our student body is enrolled in Louisiana Scholarship for Excellence Program (Tuition Vouchers). 88% of our student body is on some type of income-based tuition assistance.
